Coté 5 sur 5
par lepapillon Beautiful design
I love the colors in this 3X5 size, especially with my muted yellow walls. It has pinks, yellows, blue, greens, purples, and grays, without the orange or darker red in the full-size rug. The background color is a fairly white ivory and the dark color is a dark gray, not black. I like that the whole border isn't repeated on this size rug. The rug looks better in person than in the photo. As with all of these crewel rugs, An extra-thick, two-sided rug pad makes it lay well and feel cushiony on hardwood floors.

Coté 3 sur 5 par silverrain 3x5 is cut from the edge of the pictured rug
I ordered this rug and the Winding Trellis rug in 3x5, and the Winding Trellis rug was the clear winner. This rug is half grey and white and half colored. It looks like it's a piece cut from the edge of the first rug pictured in the item listing, and it is much less colorful. The way both rugs are made is kind of strange. The top, which you see, is super thin, so thin that it requires a canvas backing. The rug is stitched to the backing around all the edges. The backing and stitching do not show much. It is not very soft to the touch, nor does it offer much padding. It seems to stay in place pretty well without a non-skid pad underneath, but a non-skid pad would help it feel a little cushier. The weave feels tight enough that I think they will hold up well. So far there is no color bleeding with the Winding Trellis rug, and it has definitely had water splashed on it and also a damp/wet light-colored bathmat left on it for about an hour. le 26 avril 2014
